Some of our mahi is government funded, but there’s so much more we can do with the help of our philanthropic partners and generous donors.

Donations and gifts are used to support pēpi, tamariki and rangatahi in care, and provide meaningful experiences and connections. Some examples of things that we’ve been able to provide thanks to our donors and sponsors include:

- Sports gear to send into residences
- Christmas presents for young people

Including VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai in your Will

Leaving a bequest to VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai is a meaningful way to support advocacy for care-experienced youth in Aotearoa. You can choose from several ways to include us in your will:

- Percentage: You can leave a percentage of your estate, ensuring your gift remains proportionate to the size of your estate.
- Residuary: After providing for your loved ones, you can leave the remainder (or a portion) of your estate to us.
- Fixed amount: You can nominate a specific sum to leave in your will.

To include us in your will, the following wording could be used:

“I give VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai (currently registered with Charity Services Ngā Ratonga Kaupapa Atawhai with registration number CC54306) __% of my estate OR the residue of my estate OR the sum of __$ (fixed amount) to support the work of VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai in advocating for care-experienced youth in Aotearoa. I declare that this gift shall be free of any tax or probate or estate duties payable upon or in consequence of my death, and the receipt of an authorised officer of VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”

The VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai Endowment Fund has been established to ensure our mission continues for generations to come. By contributing to the endowment, your gift becomes a lasting investment – supporting our mahi not just today, but forever.

The VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai Fund is a Donor Advised Fund whose partner is Auckland Foundation. Auckland Foundation has a charitable structure that encourages and facilitates effective giving. It manages many charitable endowment Funds for organisations operating in Auckland, taking care of all of the behind the behind-the-scenes functions. All accounting and compliance of the Fund is taken care of by Auckland Foundation.
